LCpl Martyn Compton, a Household Cavelryman, miraculously recovered from a Taliban bomb attack in Afghanistan in 2006. Marnie Summerfield Smith is a journalist who has written for numerous national newspapers, including the Guardian and the Sunday Mirror.
