Summary
<br><br>
War of the Worlds is a science fiction novel first published in 1898. The story is told by an unnamed narrator in 1904, six years after the Martian invasion. Captivated by the works of Darwin, Wells is based on the evolutionary premise of the incessant struggle between beings for survival, recounted on an interplanetary scale. Martians are interested in conquering Earth out of hunger and want, not so much out of a warrior impulse.

Herbert George Wells (1866-1946), English writer, philosopher and politician. Although his narrative dealt with various themes, he is known as the first successor of Jules Verne, the creator of science fiction, and also as the percussionist of other great authors of dystopian literature: Aldous Huxley, George Orwell, Isaac Asimov or Ray Bradbury, among others. A modern, creative writer with an incredible thematic originality, he imagined many of the scientific inventions and procedures that marked the 20th century reflected in his utopian works. He published more than 80 titles in which he exposes a real vision.
