Summary

Nonprofits have yet to fully form an ethical code by which to operate--even though nonprofits comprise the nationrs"s ethical sector. Today we regularly read of egregious ethical lapses at charities where board members and key staff are unable or unwilling to confront difficult issues. This book describes the challenges facing charities, explains how they must reassess their commitment, and pushes charities to be their best. It also examines how two sectors of society--business and government--would benefit from a similar corrective journey.
