Summary
This book is a first-hand account of the storming of Sikh's Golden Temple in Amritsar, by India's National Security Guard Commandos, code named Operation Black Thunder. Sarab Singh, a key office in Amritsar during the operation, witnessed most of the events and writes now to correct the often incomplete and inaccurate media and official releases of the time.
Author Biography
Sarab Jit Singh retired recently from the Indian Administrative Service. Among the posts he held during his career was as Deputy Commissioner of Amritsar from 1987 to 1992. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1989 for his dedication and courage in the fight against militancy.
